600 million devices running on Windows 10

Microsoft announces a new milestone; the number of devices that Windows 10 runs is set at 600 million. 100 million more than half a year ago.

Microsoft ceo Satya Nadella calls that number during a presentation for shareholders. In may it was still spoken about 500 million Windows 10 devices. So there is a steady growth is measured. Independent figures from StatCounter showed previously that the number of Windows 7 and Windows 10-users worldwide are neck-to-neck. In the Netherlands, is Windows 10 is already more popular than Windows 7.

No billion

At the time of the launch of Windows 10 in 2015, Microsoft wanted in 2018 a billion devices on that operating system would be running. Then came the company the following year, still on the back.
