Excellent news for the mexicans, as Amazon has officially announced that the Amazon Echo and Alexa will come to Mexico very soon. The announcement comes a few days after that the company did the same in Spain and Italy, making it clear that this year his assistant’s voice, and its speaker smart home will come to those countries.
In the case of Mexico, the company has not clarified exactly what time of the year will be available to the public, but it is almost a fact that it will be in 2018 when Amazon launches two of their most successful products on the market in Mexico.
But that’s not all, because Amazon also has launched a registry for all users who want to test the Alexa in Spanish, in advance, to help the company to mature the product before it is released to the public in general.
That is to say, it is a beta test of Alexa in Spanish to be able to identify potential problems and better understand the way of interacting of the mexicans with that virtual assistant.
In the case of Spain, the users that participate in the program receive a free Amazon Echo, as it is here where the company exploits the potential of your wizard, just as I want to do Google with its Google Home.
Amazon has not mentioned, that is going to happen the same thing with the mexican participants, but is likely to be as well. In addition, it is important to mention that the registration for the test ahead Alexa in Spanish is limited, so that the fact of registering does not mean that you will be selected to participate in the program.
It seems that the next week Google will officially present their new Google Home in Mexico, and with the news that Amazon will do the same this year, it seems that finally starts the war of the virtual assistants in Mexico.
If you want to register in the test program Alexa in Spanish in Mexico, you can do so here.
