Microsoft fixes problems in Windows 10-update on

Microsoft has the problem around the October update of Windows 10 solved. In a previous update, were, in some cases, the personal files of users will be deleted. Within a few weeks a new version of the October update.

In the first version of the October update could prevent the personal user files were deleted. That came with users that have specified that the default documents in a different location than the one in Windows 10 usual place, i.e. the folder C:\<username>\Documents. If a user is using the properties of that folder indicates that the files are in another location, for example on the D: drive, then it can prevent the files that are still in the original folder were to be removed.

Microsoft has the bug now fixed. The new update is, however, not yet available to the general public, but is first rolled out to testers in the Windows 10 Insider program. Only if that rollout is successful, Microsoft will update within a few weeks to make it available for all Windows 10 users.
