Finally! Microsoft will update the Notepad for Windows 10

Through an announcement on their official blog, Microsoft announced that after years of pleas and prayers so that there would be an update in Notepad, has decided to give their arm to twist and give the users what they want.

One of the first changes that you will have, and that seems to be the most notorious, is that Notepad will appear increasingly to Wordpad, since that will be absorbing and assimilating the best elements that this latest has.

In this way, it is like its new features will include a search interface, so that the window to remember the last word or phrase that you entered; this way it is as the new experience of search/replace will be much more agile than he was before.

In the same way, you will be able to do the find-and-replace with a zoom to the text, so that its operation is just like the one done in Word, only that to do so will have to press Ctrl and the mouse wheel, either for forward to zoom in or backward to zoom out.

In the new notepad you can use the shortcut Ctrl+Backspace to delete previous word, and also provides support for files greater in size.

Also from the notepad, you will be able to search words on Bing by just right clicking on them in order to get a new option.

Windows 10 will not add Sets in Redstone 5

Another attachment is the bottom status bar, that will allow you to have a counter of rows and columns, which will help the editors to know what is the exact amount of lines you have been writing.

The new and improved notepad will come in the next major update of Windows 10, which has the name Redstone 5, which will be launched at the end of this year.
