The Raspberry Pi Foundation announced that the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B is monitored by the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. Support for 5 GHz wi-fi is the most important improvement compared to the previous model.
Model B was already equipped with a wi-fi chip, but that could only work with the 2.4 GHz band. Model B+ supports dual-band 802.11 ac standard. The range of a 5 GHz signal is shorter than that of the 2.4 GHz band, but it is also more stable and often faster.
The new Pi has a slightly faster processor (1.4 GHz compared to 1.2 GHz) and is equipped with bluetooth 4.2 (compared to the slower bluetooth 4.1). The connectors are the same, including four usb ports and an hdmi connector. The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ has been online for four tens for sale.
