You may not think so, but there are still branches Blockbuster in the world, well, now only one. That was one of the brands that are most powerful in the world succumbed brutally before the arrival of the platforms in Streaming (i.e., Netflix) and became a historic example of what corporations should not do if they want to stay in business.
The thing is that out of the thousands of sites that had, until a few hours ago, it only had three and now just one. And is that Kevin Daymude, division manager of Blockbuster in Alaska announced on Facebook that it would close the branch offices in Anchorage and Fairbanks, leaving the relic that exists in Bend Oregon as the only survivor, who will go down in history as the bastion end of the rents physical movies.

This is the message I wrote Daymude:
Thank you for continuing with us throughout all these years. I can not tell you how much it means to us. Hope to see you in our stores during the closure, even if it is just to say ‘Hello’.
What a great time to enrich your media library, and share some memories of Blockbuster with us.
With the farewell of the shops Ajuscos are now seven branches of Blockbuster in 2018 and the extinction final could happen very soon. At its peak the chain had more than 10,000 locations, 9,000 of them in the united States.
In Mexico, Blockbuster still had 327 stores in 2014, when it was acquired by Grupo Salinas, although its decline was accelerated, and in the end become extinct after a brief stage as The B Store.
