Since the last version of Android known as 8.0 Oreo, Google launched Project Treble, a modularization of the operating system to allow manufacturers to update faster their devices, something which no doubt also came back to give life to the ROMs developed by the community, so much so that at this time and only two weeks of the release of the latest version of Android, there are already more than 15 computers that can be upgraded to Android 9 Foot.
As just mentioned, this is not official updates, but that has been the community of developers who have worked on the update, because currently only the Pixel and the Essential Phone have received the official update of Android 9 Foot.
The ROMs can be found in one of the web sites for excellence in these topics as this is XDA Developers, and although the number of devices is already quite big, the developers promise to significantly increase the list gradually over the next few weeks.
If your device is on the list and want to update it with a ROM I recommend you to follow the steps explained on the website of XDA Developers, since each device requires processes and files different, although most of the steps to follow are very similar.
Also, remember that although the versions are stable, it is likely that you can find some errors, and if you don’t know what you’re doing, because it is also likely that you can present a problem, so if you have no idea what to do, follow the steps at the foot of the letter and don’t skip steps or experiment with other commands and settings.
